The Steveston Salmon Festival was held on Canada Day, July 1st, at the Steveston area, Richmond BC. The annually salmon festival was organized by the Steveston Community Society where the people of Steveston have come together every year since 1945 to celebrate Canada's birthday and the rich heritage of our community. According to the website (http://www.stevestonsalmonfest.ca), "the Steveston Salmon Festival has evolved from a July 1st "Sports Day" themed event which was held as a fund raiser to build a playground in the Steveston Park in 1944, to one of the largest non-profit Canada Day celebrations in Canada. 

Origin Organic Farms took this great opportunity to participate in this event by selling our produces and bringing our name out into the communities. We were selling $1 for an organic cucumber, $2 for two beefsteak tomatoes, and $2 for three TOV tomatoes. All the money are donation to The Richmond Sunset Rotary Club (http://www.rotary.org/). We have raised $705.50 at the Steveston Salmon Festival. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rotarians and OriginO staffs for spare their time on the Canada Day holiday. It was a great success!
